The nominees - The Everyman Liverpool, Arcola, Gate Theatre and Theatre 503 - received £350 for their distinctive work. There was a new Theatre Without Walls certificate of commendation, which went to National Theatre's Watch This Space, Paines Plough, National Theatre of Scotland, Artichoke and Forest Fringe.
